The Eminent Irish of Green-Wood Walking Tour
Join Historic Fund guide Ruth Edebohls as she visits notable Irish at Green-Wood, including copper magnate Marcus Daly; India Ink manufacturer and American patriot Charles Higgins; one-armed Civil War General Thomas Sweeney (who retired from the U.S. military but went on to lead the Fenian invasion of Canada); Irish patriot Wolfe Tone’s widow and son; actress and mistress of the mighty, Lola Montez (Eliza Gilbert), and much more. March 18, 2012 at 1:00 pm. Tickets are $10 for members of the Green-Wood Historic Fund and $15 for non-members. Reservations recommended.

Free Riojan Wines and Tapas Tasting @ The Winey Neighbor
DOCa Rioja and The Winey Neighbor cordially invites you to our tasting events “Spring Fling with 3 New Riojas”. The free event features Rioja wines and food pairing provided by region expert Aaron Gordon and renowned chef Jill Paradiso. Join them for tastes of Riojan wine and perfectly paired tapas courtesy of Vibrant Rioja. Also all customers can enter to win a mixed case of Rioja wine and a wine dinner for two. Brooklyn Flea + SmorgasBrewery
The Flea is indoors at beautiful Skylight One Hanson both Saturday and Sunday. And don’t forget about SmorgasBrewery, a mini-Smorgasburg featuring a rotating cast of five Flea/Smorg food vendors serving inside the Brewery’s Tasting Room on North 11th St. in Williamsburg on Sundays. The Flea runs from 10am to 5pm at Skylight One Hanson and SmorgasBrewery runs only Sunday from noon to 5pm.
