Portraits and Pigeons
A photography exhibit from NYC-based photographer Chris Arnade. You can see lots of his work over at his Flickr. Proceeds from the sales will go to the Hunts Point Alliance for Children. The opening reception is tonight, March 9th, from 7pm to 11pm, at the Urban Folk Art Gallery, 101 Smith Street, Brooklyn. The exhibit remains up until April 4th.

Tara O’Grady & The Black Velvet Band at Green-Wood Cemetery
Put on your dancing shoes! Saturday Night, March 10th, 7 to 11 p.m. at Green-Wood’s Historic Chapel, join us for a fabulous pre-St. Patrick’s Saturday night of dancing, drinks and the sophisticated swing of Tara O’Grady & The Black Velvet Band in a stunning historic setting. O’Grady and her band perform an irresistible mix of traditional Irish songs and jazz standards set to a swing jazz beat. Tickets are $90 per couple or $50 per person for members of The Green-Wood Historic Fund / $100 per couple or $60 per person for non-members. Advance reservations required. Brooklyn Flea + SmorgasBrewery
The Flea is indoors at beautiful Skylight One Hanson both Saturday and Sunday. And don’t forget about SmorgasBrewery, a mini-Smorgasburg featuring a rotating cast of five Flea/Smorg food vendors serving inside the Brewery’s Tasting Room on North 11th St. in Williamsburg on Sundays. The Flea runs from 10am to 5pm at Skylight One Hanson and SmorgasBrewery runs only Sunday from noon to 5pm.
