Community Board 6 approved a liquor license application this week for a bar planned for the old City Casuals space at 233 7th Avenue, near the corner of 4th Street. The space is only 780 square feet, and there won’t be any outdoor seating. Because there aren’t any means for gas cooking, the owners plan to serve already-prepared food using a convection oven. One of the owners told us the food would be “low cal.” They expect to open up in six months; currently the place is in the midst of a gut renovation. GMAP
