Relative to how some other houses in Park Slope are priced these days, this FSBO at 278 Garfield Place looks pretty reasonable at $2,300,000. There’s lots of original detail in the 4,450-square-foot pad and the place generally appears to be in good shape. There are two rental apartments on the top floor and no floor plan provided, so we’re curious to know how the staircase circulation impacts the overall layout. Other than that, though, around $500 a foot in this part of town for a nice house should get the buyers out in droves. There’s an open house on April 1 from 1 to 3.

  1. I call this the ‘Leaning Tower of Garfield’. I live around
The corner and a friend on the block tells me the place floods a lot. Not surprising w/Temple Building next door. Place is a money pit but some ‘new-comer’ will pick it up.
