The recent sale of 212 Columbia Heights for $11 million must’ve really raised expectations among Brooklyn Heights homeowners. How else to explain the $10 million asking price for the new listing at 36 Garden Place. Now this five-story brownstone is an impressive house, to be sure, deserving of a big price tag, but it’s not in the same league as the Columbia Heights house in our opinion. We’ll be surprised if this place gets more than $8 million, which would still come out to about $1,500 a foot, but once you get into this price league, anything can happen.
