On Friday a restaurant called Maimonide of Brooklyn will be in business on Atlantic Avenue between 3rd and 4th avenues. A French hotelier and restaurateur, Cyril Aouizerate, is behind the new eatery. The menu will focus on healthy vegetarian fare, and most of the offerings will consist of $8 open-faced sandwiches. The interior of the space it’s in, at 525 Atlantic, has been extensively renovated, and the set-up is for communal dining. Click through for a photo. GMAP

  1. bobbyj:

You’re forgetting about all the theatres and performance spaces within the same area. BAM, Roulette, Mark Morris, MOCADA, Harvey, BRIC, etc., etc.,

That’s the clientele for MOB. The clientele for the “Barclays Center” (or “Atlantic Yards” or “arena”) will be elsewhere, Machiavelle on Pacific or Prime 6 on Flatbush, or whatever crap Dave and Busters they open up above the Pathmark.
