Williamsburg
Here’s Williamsburg breaks the news (and took the above picture) that Vanessa’s Dumpling House is open at 310 Bedford Avenue. $2.72 for eight fried dumplings… doesn’t get much better than that. The Poundcake NYC pop up, which sells jewelry and accessories, is at 439 Metropolitan Avenue for the holiday season, according to Racked. And Eater writes that Union Pool, the Williamsburg bar and music venue, was shuttered by the DOH for mysterious reasons in the middle of a performance.

Park Slope
Park Slope dive Great Lakes Bar is closed for good and oldtime Timboo’s Bar has been leased to a new owner, according to Here’s Park Slope. Ozzies on 5th Avenue is now Kos Kaff and serves a new brew of coffee. The Beauty Bar, next door, is still under construction.

Elsewhere
Nanny Goat Hill Wine Bar & Kitchen, a wine bar that opened in September at 1241 Prospect Avenue, is now closed. According to Windsor Terrace Blog, the joint is looking for a new location. In Carroll Gardens, PMFA notes that kid’s store Peek A Boo Kids is calling it quits on Smith Street, while Realty Collective spots Lar’s Pasta, a curious new addition to the Atomic Wings at 134 Smith. And over in Prospect Heights, specifically on the corner of Flatbush and Park Avenue, M Helen Kitchen plans to change its name to Carlton Park.
