We’ve been chronicling the progress at the formerly stalled build on 8th Street between 3rd and 4th avenues since construction restarted in April, and now the development has officially hit the market. The condo has been dubbed “Jade 8″—the marketers tout eco-friendly features and it has eight units in addition to being on 8th Street, though the name also sounds like a dating website—and prices run from $725,000 for 905 square-foot two bedroom/two bathroom up to $1,150,000 for a 1,455-square-foot three-bedroom. The building’s green elements include fresh air filtration systems via heat recovery ventilation, energy-efficient windows, and a facade that “will insulate, ventilate and deflect moisture.” The interior shots above are from the condo’s website.

  1. Prices are high, especially for a walkup. The 825K 1Br isnt really as bad as it seems – because what they are (trying to) selling is the large below grade space (that people generally use as a BR) and the courtyard/rear yard.
but Living below grade between 3rd and 4th is bound to be problematic.

The real price problem is with the top floor duplexes. 1M+ for a walkup (where public living space is actually 4 flights up) – not likely.
