Park Slope
All About 5th, as well as a variety of other outlets, reported that Park Slope mainstay Aunt Suzie’s will close January 1, 2012. The no-frills Italian joint has been in the neighborhood for 25 years. Here’s Park Slope writes that Babouche Restaurant closed at the corner of 5th and Lincoln, Uncle Barry’s Bar is opening tomorrow at 5th Avenue between St. Marks and Bergen and Citibank opened at 424 5th Avenue.

Cobble Hill/Carroll Gardens
Grub Street notices that Bino, which was seized a few weeks ago, is still not open. They also report that a new Jewish-Spanish outpost called La Vara is moving into the old Breukelen space on Clinton Street. Finally BoCoCa Land says, “Sadie’s Kitchen, the cheerful new cafe taking over the cursed space at 243 Degraw St., will be opening on Monday.” Apparently there’s a pretty good mac and cheese on the menu!

Elsewhere
Free Williamsburg has a good food and drinks opening round-up which includes the arrival of cocktails, farm-to-table American fare, and a simple-plates restaurant. Also Allswell is open and New York Shitty takes a look. Sheepshead Bites finds that Coney Island Bialys and Bagels, the nations oldest bialy bakery, has been saved by two Muslim-American businessmen. ATZ says Randazzo’s Clam Bar is eyeing the Coney Island Boardwalk, specifically at the old Cha Cha’s space. Also the seaside bar Beer Island has been torn apart. A pop-up gym called KikiSweat popped up in Dumbo last week, and will be at the Invisible Dog Gallery from November 17th – November 20th. Also in Dumbo, a new restaurant called Punto Bianco is opening on the corner of John and Jay Streets. In Bensonhurst a CVS is coming to 6817 Bay Parkway and in Crown Heights a Brooklynian commenter wonders if About Time Boutique is closed.
