The Gowanus Canal Conservancy has announced its first-ever Winter Festival fundraiser on December 3rd. The event will celebrate local food, beer, and music on – you guessed it – the Gowanus Canal. All the proceeds directly benefit the Conservancy, specifically benefiiting its Clean & Green Volunteer Program, composting, and rain garden projects. The menu is by Lot 2, the beer is by Captain Lawrence, and three local bands are confirmed to play during the day. There will also be a silent auction with items like a Chopped studio tour, Sausage Making classes from Brooklyn Cured, a farmers market tour plus dinner for two at Print Restaurant.
