McBrooklyn dug up some renderings of new buildings NYU may develop on Jay Street that are distinct from the university’s wish to overhaul the old MTA headquarters at 370 Jay. The renderings show two different possibilities for the properties NYU intends to build on the Polytechnic campus as part of its long-term, NYU 2031 expansion. The buildings, which could be built to different heights depending on how air rights are transferred, would replace the Jacob’s Building at Jay and Johnson streets, according to McBrooklyn.
