A Yeshiva for Red Hook?

Is Red Hook getting a yeshiva? It seems that way, based upon the name of the owner on the DOB permits. Last month Yeshiva Kehilath Yakov of 638 Bedford Avenue filed plans to convert the old (and quite beautiful) brick building at 163 Imlay Street in a “Trade School.” So it’s possible that this is not going to be what we traditionally think of as a yeshiva, but maybe something more hands-on. Ideas? Theories?
