Maybe it was the economy, but for a while there no one seemed to want to do a renovation blog. That’s why we are so excited to announce that we’ve got a new one that just went live. And the author should be familiar to many of you of used to follow the Bed Stuy Reno Blog. As you may recall, the blog’s author, Peter Epstein, and his wife painstakingly rebuilt their 1895 townhouse in Bed Stuy after it had been a crack house for years. It was by far the most fascinating renovation blog to date. After managing construction work at Brooklyn Bridge Park for a couple of years, Peter and his wife moved to Philadelphia, where he has recently established his own architecture practice. We’re excited that Peter is going to blog his first major project, a total makeover of a 1970 rowhouse in the historic neighborhood of Society Hill. (A tasty morsel for those few readers still mourning the loss of Brownstoner Philly!) He’s already got several posts up, so please welcome Peter back and head on over to the Society Hill Renovation Blog to get started.
