Work on 340 Court Street will start again “sometime next week” and should last between 18 and 20 months, according to Kenneth Horn of Alchemy Properties, the new developer of the stalled Carroll Gardens project. As originally reported by Pardon Me for Asking, a 7-story, 32-unit condominium and 11 adjoining townhouses are still part of the plan, but the developer is exploring building it with a “lighter” facade. (The initial facade was criticized for being too dark.) A design firm is collecting color palettes that better reflect the surrounding brownstones. Permits for construction were just renewed for the site this week. And… we’re off!
