House sales north of $1 million aren’t unheard of in Red Hook, but they’re still far from the norm, so 82 Visitation Place’s recent trade for $1,250,600 strikes us as notable. Sifting through the historical data, it looks like this is one of the bigger sales ever recorded in the neighborhood, though 138 Coffey Street, which was recently a House of the Day and listed for $1,690,000, is in contract and may fetch quite a bit more than $1.25 million. Back to 82 Visitation, though: The property already broke the million-dollar mark when it sold for $1,070,000 in 2007, and the two-family has a decent income generator in its three-bedroom apartment, which was renting for $3,750 not too long ago.
