An unidentified company just snapped up a number of commercial properties in the heart of Boerum Hill. The sites in question, on Atlantic and Pacific between Boerum Place and Smith Street, sold for a total of $9,200,000. The deal included the warehouse building pictured above at 259-265 Pacific Street, which was purchased for $2,750,000, and the two empty lots next to it at 267 Pacific and 257 Pacific; each of which sold for $950,000. (One of the vacant lots is next to Pacifico, and has drawn the ire of some neighbors because of how rundown it is.) Another lot directly behind the warehouse building, at 280 Atlantic, sold for $950,000, while vacant land and three storefronts at 262-276 Atlantic (listing here) went for $3,600,000. Several of these parcels were previously packaged together for auction back in 2007. At the time, the package included the empty lot at 253 Pacific Street, which has since been purchased with plans for a five-story building. There isn’t much information about the buyer, which is hidden behind the LLC “Boerum Atlantic SPEC”; anyone got the dirt? Anyway, if development plans are in the works this could potentially be big news for the area. Click through for pictures of all the lots.
