What’s not to like at this new townhouse listing at 250 Garfield Place? The two-family house has over 4,000 square feet, lots of beautiful original details and a great location. The only question mark out there–which a photo or two could easily clear up–is what the kitchens and bathrooms look like. For $2,750,000, we hope they are decent!

  1. Sauerkraut, do you think this looks like a 2.7 million dollar property? Are you saying that the condition of the interior doesn’t matter? The furniture is not part of the deal but it communicates a great deal about how the house has been maintained and how little money has been spent on its upkeep. Do you expect to see a great modern kitchen in a house with a living room that looks like that? I don’t.

  2. it is surprising to me that a house being sold for 2.7 million dollars could be filled with such cheap and tacky furniture. Even if it is just staging props, one would think nicer staging props would be acquired for the photos. The K-mart ceiling fixture over the card table in the dining room is a nice touch. If the kitchen and bathrooms are commensurate with the furnishings and lighting, I would not expect a lot.
