This morning two women dressed in yellow, June and Laura, were outside Park Place Stationers on Flatbush Avenue clapping enthusiastically for the morning commuters. Why? They are part of The Clap, a group that promotes “contagious applause for the public good.” They are planning a “city-wide intervention” for Monday, September 12, 2011, to salute fellow New Yorkers on the morning following the 10th anniversary of the destruction of the Twin Towers.
