The new Walter Food location at 166 Dekalb Avenue was finishing up a paint job when we passed by yesterday. Just last week it was revealed that the opening date had been pushed back to August. Over in Clinton Hill, Myrtle Minutes reported that Putnam’s Pub & Cooker was opening at 419 Myrtle Avenue soon, and we’ve heard the spot is now up and running. According to MM: “Putnam’s will offer 24 quality draft beers, 40 quality bottled beers, 2 highly unique Cask Ales, an extensive wine menu and delicious assortment of small plates, salads and large plates.” Also, they report on a sushi and ramen spot opening sometime this month at 485 Myrtle Avenue.
