A few months ago construction wrapped on the development at 169 16th Street between 4th and 5th avenues, and it hit the rental market. StreetEasy shows a one-bedroom was asking a hefty $2,250 a month; a neighbor tells us move-ins began about a month ago and that the building appears to have filled up pretty quickly. Meanwhile, its sister development on 15th Street (click through to see a photo of it) is looking like it’s just about complete as well. The project was noteworthy because developer Isaac Katan wanted to construct an 11-story building on the site but the Board of Standards and Appeals ruled that the height had to be capped at 5 stories.
