I think she felt excluded and his friends basically ignored her or treated her as though she were stupid. She really was a tragic figure and yet she was so talented. Do you remember her last movie with Clark Gable. She was luminous.
He was very intellectual, she was all emotion. It could have been a wonderful artistic combination but he had a hefty ego as I recall. I bet jester knows a lot more about that story.

Oh- yes. That was an odd pairing. She suffered terribly with an inferiority complex in regards to him. Wasn’t he very cruel to her?
