The rendering above has surfaced for the seven-story Karl Fischer-designed development that’s being built on Irving Place between Fulton Street and Putnam Avenue. The project will be called “The Carlton.” Yesterday we noted that construction at the site had just begun. The development is slated to have 30 units. So, what do you think of the design? To us, it looks pretty consistent with Fischer’s oeuvre. Click through for a shot of the floor plans…. Update: there was previous confusion over which lots at this intersection would house the Karl Fischer build. This particular development will front Irving between Putnam and Fulton. The second empty lot fronting Putnam, which was purchased by an affordable housing developer, is separately owned but shares a property line. It has not begun construction yet.

They do it fine in other places, but here we have this panda on LSD nightmare.
