We’re kicking off the weekend with a double dose of burger openings in Downtown Brooklyn. First is Jake’s Wayback, the Connecticut-based chain covered here before. Fork in the Road writes, “[Jake's] claims to serve ‘big, juicy hand-made burgers and real milkshakes,’ much like Shake Shack, which, according to Google Maps, is 0.1 miles from Jake’s.” We also got a press release from Marty Markowitz announcing Five Guys opened today at 2 Metrotech Center. The company is planning 12 more stores in Brooklyn over the next two years.
