That headline should be: PLG: a haven for Rastafarian food. Not Italian. Trying vegetarian/vegan food at various West Indies veg places in PLG has been a revelation. Very flavorful and good textures. As for Italian, PLG does have Gino’s on Flatbush who expanded and locals gladly support but the food doesn’t make it a destination restaurant like these other unique places do. One place worth the special trip if you’re going to King’s County Nursery next door to it — Mama Louisa’s, an Italian takeout place dating back to the 40s that’s incredible. That place should be featured sometime here. The owner is lovely. True old Brooklyn. Huge sandwiches both hot and cold that make two meals for under ten bucks. Read the rave Yelp reviews.
Guess we won’t be able to read the HPS post until Blogger comes back from the dead
Aside from the link posting an arrow pointing at the Gretsch building, and there already being zip car service at Schaefer Landing, this seems like a completely pointless article. Great reporting interwebs!!
