cb2-meeting-051111.jpgIn case you missed The Local’s live stream of the CB2 meeting last night, here’s a recap. The board voted “yes” for both the Boerum Hill rezoning (the next vote for rezoning is May 17th, at the city level) and the Squibb Park Bridge design. Cool fact: when the bridge is built next summer, it will only take a few days to install because so much of the bridge will be pre-constructed. Construction on Fleet Street was supposed to be finished by the end of last month, but it has been pushed until the end of May. Meanwhile, Lincoln Restler et al will be checking in with the Red Apple Supermarket group in two weeks to make sure they are following up with the promises made at the community forum last month. And finally, there’s a rally to end all tourist helicopter flights from the Downtown Manhattan Heliport at Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Pier 6 this Sunday at 1PM. It will be held by Senator Squadron and Senator Montgomery.

  1. i dont blame them. over the last year or so non stop helicopters and planes above park slope have been interfering with my internet connection. it’s SO annoying!!!!!!!! why can’t they reroute planes over other neighborhoods or over the ocean or something?
