Calexico Seized and Shuttered
Uh oh….Calexico at 88 5th Avenue in Park Slope has been seized. Looks like there are no hopes of it coming back, considering “For Rent” signs are up on all the windows. (Here’s Park Slope noticed it too, and confirmed that it’s closed for good.) Sad to see it go? GMAP

Calexico is a border town in California.
“Something about bring nostalgic for 2007 made it read very moonfacey.” YES!!!!!!!
“She met us in person once and didn’t like us” NO!!!!!!
I ate there once, and it was really bad. I’m excited that it’s going to be something else!

LincolnSlope, nice story, thanks for sharing. Don’t be discouraged from posting. Not a moment of weakness at all. As Arkady said, most people here are really very nice. You should come chat with us in the Open Thread. > > >
No worries, you won’t encounter bowl of dicks. She met us in person once and didn’t like us, so you’ll be in good company!
“OH so i DID have Calexico, if it’s the same cart that is in soho. apparently i ordered the “cheapest” things off the menu and wasnt particularly satisfied. (mostly due to volume, not taste). ”
