Why are they calling the 10th Street place an “owner’s triplex”? The basement (garden floor) doesn’t have a kitchen to rent out…
I like the Sterling Place renovation too. Did wonder about the floors, but I do not mind the unfinished trim. And this is one of the few times I’ve liked granite in a kitchen. They made it work with the color of the cabinets, the backsplash and even the polished granite tile floor which I would normally not care for either.
I go to the Brooklyn Farmacy (soda fountain) on Henry St. near where I live where the counter is a similar black granite and often think THIS is where a granite counter top belongs….never looks too formal or heavy there the way they usually do in residential kitchens. But this one works for me. Nice.
This is a better deal for sunset park. Much nicer block block: http://marketplace.brownstoner.com/fsbo/1302185138-553-47th-street-sunset-park
