J.J. Byrne Playground Revamp Starts This Week

According to the Park Slope Parents Blog, construction on J.J. Byrne playground’s face-lift will start this week, a month ahead of schedule. According to the site, “The turf field and all the active recreation spaces will remain open, and we’re working with the community to develop 4th Street as a playstreet, to create more open space.” Brooklyn Paper and Park Slope Patch have some more details on turning 4th Street into a playground as well as the other renovations in store.
