Cars heading for Manhattan won’t be able to do so 24-7 on the Brooklyn Bridge as of tonight. According to The Brooklyn Paper, the closure schedule will run as follows: “The Manhattan-bound lanes will be closed weekdays from 11 pm to 6 am; Saturdays from 12:01 am to 7 am; and Sundays from 12:01 am to 9 am.” The closures are part of the bridge’s big rehab project, which is running until 2014.

  1. the southern Eastbound lane on the Queensboro is the narrowest I’m sure! – it feels like your riding out above the water, and those angled buttresses every few hundred meters are a wheeze to squeeze by.

  2. i LOVE that Willie lane, what a view
if you can’t handle, should not drive in BK

big problem will be when they shut BK bound overnight cause
much more traffic in that direction at night
