After years of neglect, a much-needed renovation of Bed-Stuy’s 543 Madison Street began over the summer. Checking in now, all the windows are in, and it looks like interior repairs are also under way. The 2008 photo inset photo above from PropertyShark gives a sense of what the boarded-up shell used to look like. According to DOB records, the plan is to keep this an eight-family dwelling.

OMG! that poor house looks embalmed. what did they do to it? are those gray concrete panels covering the front? It is horrible.
