I think this is just great. I don’t know why all these people are complaining so much. I’m sure there are improvements that could be made but I thank god this is the type of building being rebuilt and not some hideous glass box that will 5x more expensive. Knit-pick all you want. I’m happy
I love the house on the left, especially the windows. Those are my favorites.
I walk by this everyday, and it’s been usually busy with construction at all hours. I don’t have high hopes for it but at least the bay is present. The brownstone next door is also getting some repair work on it’s basement level.
Here’s hoping it isn’t the eyesore on my walk back from the G in the coming months. This is really a lovely stretch of architecture, a nice blend of everything. This could be the first modernist to ruin it.
I walked by this recently and thought the finished steps to the stoop do not bode well for what the balance of the building finishes will be.
The doorway looks too narrow to me. Otherwise the propoertions look good. Let’s see how it turns out.
The devil still remains in the details.
This could turn out okay…depends on the siding that goes up and whether they will put in a front door that fits in with the scale of the house and that of the neighborhood.
I think this is great. And the “Happy House” is right next door.
