We had a reader write in after hearing rumors that the upcoming restaurant Prime6 at 242 Flatbush Avenue was to be a sort of Gentleman’s Club. “To what degree it’ll be a strip club depends on the version of the story (some say full strip club, maybe on second floor; others have heard steak and scantily clad waitresses a la The Penthouse Club),” he wrote. Well, we ran the rumor by the North Flatbush BID and it was promptly shut down. The place will simply be a steakhouse with a lounge and outside patio. The opening date has been pushed back to late February.

This place is perplexing. The name and the signage seem to signal that it’s going to be a fairly low-rent kind of place, but one would think a steakhouse in this area would have to be good to last.
