Exciting Details on Food at Dean Street

Dean Street, the new bar and restaurant moving into the Tavern on Dean spot at Underhill Avenue, has been in the works since at least October, when we first reported on it. I Love Franklin Avenue recently tipped us off on how much progress has been made, and we were able to stop in and talk to the owners to get the lowdown. Former Spotted Pig chef Nate Smith will be cooking up seasonal American food, with bar snacks, in-house charcuterie, and the like. Weekday mornings they will open the cafe portion of the space (off of Underhill) and serve Stumptown Coffee and baked goods. There will be brunch on weekends, and evenings the bar will be serving up some specials from Kelso of Brooklyn. You can read more at the Dean Street website, and check back here for a sneak peak of the space once construction wraps, which will be soon. Sweet! Update: Eater posted about this a few minutes ago as well.
