Closing Bell: Brooklyn Carriage Houses

i’ve often wondered what the legal issues in reverting these to garages would be. With parking at a premium you would think there are additional dollars for loosing a room but gaining a garage.
We (I) love Cara! She’s energy personified.
Thank G*d she finally came back (to Brooklyn)– that East End is nice in the summer but…
PLUS she insisted on the South Fork instead of the North Fork so…H’mm… okay, we’ll let her slide on that one! 😉
She just needs to get her feng shui worked out right now (read her blog to find out more!).
And she takes GREAT photos!
There’s some nice ones I on Hoyt St in Boerum hill. Some people have done some really great things renovating them too.
I’d add in all the houses on Verandah Place in Cobble Hill.
Like the ones on east 69th st btw lex and third in manhattan, a carriage house like this was often home for servants, carriages and horses all on two floors…..
Someone be a peach and gimme!
There are at least a couple more in Brooklyn Heights that are this same design.
Oh my gosh it’s The Little Yellow House! My favorite house in ALL of Brooklyn. 🙂
I love this charming little house. I walk by it all the time. It is one block from where I live. Hicks St has a series of carriage houses between Atlantic and Joralemon. The alleys of Grace Court and Hunts Lane have several. Plenty of carriage houses in Brooklyn
