If the past weekend’s NY Times feature on 4th Avenue taught us anything, it’s that 560 Carroll (our old familiar!) has hit the market. Here’s the rundown: amenities include a roof-deck, basement and bike storage, and video security. The 42 studio, one- two- and three-bedroom units now on the market run from $450,000 to $1,495,000. (StreetEasy shows seven in contract.) To us, the finishes don’t look too bad and it must be said that the views are none too shabby. Think this will sell? GMAP

  1. I saw some of the 1-bdrms a few weeks back. Some nice elements but for $645K, I’d want a bedroom that’s bigger than 10×10. A little more closet space would have been nice too.
While its got nice views from the upper floors, instead of this I’d pick something at the Isabella, where I could get a 1000 sq ft 2 bdrm for $50-75K less.

  2. I think this building is pretty nice. The only thing I’m not feeling is the gray on the very top, it should have been bricked.
But all in all, it looks pretty good. layouts are the same typical thing, but actually not terrible.
Not loving the windows so much….no screens…I don’t like bugs, and impossible to clean on the outside, and on 4th ave they will get very dirty

  3. Certainly better looking than the Crest and the Novo. If they can get those prices than it’s a lift for everyone who bought along 4th Avenue or between 4th and 5th. But $1.495 better buy a pretty spectacular pad for that stretch of 4th Ave. So glad they’ve moved to sales – the construction took forever and that block was treacherous for so long!
