A Wine Store for Franklin Avenue?
796 Franklin Avenue, right off Eastern Parkway, used to be Scarlett Ribbons Thrift Shop. A commenter on Brooklynian noticed tell-tale brown paper in the windows, and there’s a rumor a wine store is moving in. That certainly would be nice for the block! GMAP

The stolen goods sold at pawn shops provide money to buy alcohol and drugs so it is ruining just as many lives.
Stringer Bell makes an excellent point. Alcohol kills more people and ruins far more lives than a pawn shop ever will.
yes, owners of Franklin Park are opening this and an oyster bar
If they served prohibition-style cocktails and used those arc lamp things out front, I think a bordello would be quite well-received.
I wonder if this what one of the owners of Franklin Park is supposed to be opening.
Is this also owned by Eugene Josovips, the owner of the Pawn Shop? Is he creating an empire of storefront vice? What’s next for Franklin Ave a bordello??
will the community protest as strongly as with the pawn shop????
