We’re not sure if the jazz band parked outside of the new Tio Pio spot at 117 Court has anything to do with the restaurant’s impending opening, but we do know the place is now sporting new awnings and an entryway. An opening day can’t be too far off. The Latin restaurant also has outposts in Midtown and on Willoughby Street, and will be the third food establishment to fill 117 Court Street in two years. If the chicken is anything like the Midtown location, I will be a frequent customer. Their chicken is very good and affordable.

The awnings have been up for 2 months now.
The covered entryway for 2 weeks.
It seemed like they were moving very quickly, but the last few months have shown little progress inside. Hopefully they’re opening soon, very solid chicken.
