Whoa! When checked in here a year ago, this was just a skeleton of an addition atop these old brick buildings. Now the addition—the work of Robert Scarano disciple Nataliya Donskoy—is looking more fully realized. There was a Stop Work Order in March, and a partial SWO still exists, as well as an open Work Without a Permit violation. We’ll see how long it takes to get these extra three floors of residencies to market.

  1. They did do a really good job restoring the original building – at least from outward appearances – and you may not notice it from that side of the street at street level, but as someone who’s apartment looks right down on it, I’m just hoping the whole thing stays up.

  2. “You barely notice the addition on top, especially if you’re walking on that side of the street” or shield your eyes, or squint really hard.
I agree about the facade, understated and perfect for the location/building, which of course makes the sprocket-rocket behind even more shocking, like a dowager in Lady Gaga short pants,

  3. Oh my God, it’s the invasion of the Robot Lords of Tokyo! Their spaceship is toughing down as we speak!

Run, don’t walk. Save yourselves from bad architecture from Brooklyn!
