  1. Ah of course. I didn’t see the picture of the building showing one for every unit. Having an a/c in my windows is the only thing standing between me and total happiness me with my soon to be BH apartment, vintage art deco era, through-wall units not allowed.

  2. Oh my god, you’re right tybur, there is NO counterspace. There is a shelf. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that.

    The staging isn’t bad because it does attract attention. At least at first. It appears larger this way.

    I think Mister B may be right, that this will come in around 10% under ask. It is, after all, a real one bedroom in BH for under 400k. And now with Pier 6 and all of the waterfront being developed, I think it’ll only get pricier. I could be wrong, of course.

  3. note too how the bed is pushed against the back and side wall. so, a couple, one of them will have to jump over the other to get out of bed. that sucks. unless u really enjoy jumping over your loved one (or whomever is sleeping next to u on the aisle side)

  4. Actually… now that I’m looking at the photos in “full-screen” I can’t say I can see anything particularly nice about this unit. It’s a fairly well-maintained rental unit… no? The kitchenette is tiny with no counterspace… just a shelf, basically. All for $400,000. Silly people.

    back to the size… My apartment is maybe 150 sq ft bigger — I guess that makes all the difference. I feel comfortable in my place, but I don’t think I could be comfortable in this unit (what, only 20% smaller).

  5. the construction of this blah building just made it under the wire prior to historic district classification in 1965. It is a typical product of its day. Enough said. It is a clean and tidy building though and the advantage of living in it is that you can’t see it when you look out the windows.
