The Shelton, Bed Stuy’s newest affordable co-op development, just added its fourteenth, and final, floor this week; the milestone was celebrated at a topping-off ceremony yesterday attended by Borough Prez Marty Markowitz. The 83-unit development, which will include a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom “income-restricted” apartments, is expected to be completed in March 2011 with occupancy by May 2011. One-bedrooms will start at $126,500 while a top-floor two-bedroom with private roof deck is listed at $442,500. It looks like it’s going to be pretty nice for an affordable housing project, with a doorman, common space, and a washer and dryer in each unit. GMAP
