FGA Meeting and Potluck
At this meeting, participants will explore the Food Solutions coming to the Fort Greene neighborhood. Come share your experiences with others and learn about efforts to provide healthy food choices to Fort Greene. You can also enter a potluck contest by bringing your own healthy dish that is priced within a $10 budget. Come and participate! Monday, April 19. Green Team Volunteers
Last year, more than 2,400 Green Team volunteers met on Tuesdays and assisted with the Conservancy’s educational programming, expanded the dog run underneath the Manhattan Bridge, and cleaned up the park shoreline, among other projects. Volunteers also worked on weeding, mulching, and planting all over the waterfront’s green space in each of their weekly sessions. Grow Your Parks

Join other North Brooklyn parks lovers to share ideas for making parks better! During this meeting, participants will be reviewing the many successes since OSA’s last meeting and will be voting on park improvement ideas proposed by the community. All are welcome to attend. CHCA Meeting

No Impact Man Screening
This movie is about taking a new look at the way we impact our environment. Colin Beavan sets out to experience life without any automated transportation, electricity, no more non-local food and overall to make as little impact as possible for one year. Flatbush Food Film Forum presents a special Earth Day film screening of No Impact Man sponsored by Sustainable Flatbush, Flatbush Food Co-op, and Ditmas Park West Neighborhood Association. H Fredricksson: Opening Reception

Brooklyn Independents: The Graywolf Poets

Graywolf Press presents an evening of verse from some award-winning poets. Matthea Harvey is the author of three books of poetry, including Modern Life, and Sad Little Breathing Machine. Catie Rosemurgy is the author of the poetry collections My Favorite Apocalypse and The Stranger Manual. Tom Sleigh’s most recent book, Space Walk, won the Kingsley Tufts Award. Come and enjoy!
