Hot Bird, Harding Food Truck Revealed

This ain’t your mother’s Hot Bird! As we predicted on Monday, Hot Bird, as famous for its large yellow signs as for its chicken back in the day, relaunched on Tuesday night in an old garage space at the corner of Atlantic and Clinton Avenues and The Examiner was there. It’s fair to say that we’re just a little bit excited about the results: The interior looks extremely welcoming in a Williamsburg-y sort of way, and soon enough there will be an Alan Harding-run food truck parked Habana-style in the courtyard. We don’t think it’s going out on a limb to predict that this place will be a hit with residents of Clinton Hill and Prospect Heights. We certainly plan on dropping a few bucks there in the upcoming months. You can check out additional photos from Examiner writer Clay Williams on his Flickr page. As he details on his blog, Alan Harding of Smith Street fame way psyched about the new food truck he is retooling to park in the courtyard of the new Hot Bird. It’s a 1962 Chevy Curbmaster Kustard King model that Harding’s planning on buffing out “like an Airstream.”
