This may be the first photo tip we’ve received via Twitter…a few minutes ago, @mrsbetsygood tweeted this photo of the new signage that just went up at 365 Myrtle Avenue, underneath The Clermont and right next to Walgreens. It may not be a supermarket, but it’s still a nice hook-up for folks who live nearby, dontcha think? GMAP

  1. @ rob….

cash yes. However enough of it to pay for the groceries needed for a family of 4 one being a soy milk guzzling one year old and another 2 being male who guzzling everything in general, no.

BTW what would i really be trying to buy with cash in the event of an earthquake, or a tsunami, or a black out??? Really the first thing you’d do in a natural disaster is run to the mall for a new pair of pradas??? lol

  2. ‘organic’
    ‘natural’
    ‘market’

three most overused words in the commercial real estate market these days.

newflash… there’s DDT on those apples youre buying for 3 bux each. it’s not illegal btw to say it’s organic and natural even tho it’s not.

  3. well I’m jealous especially since I don’t live at myrtle ave & washington ave any more 🙂 on a side note, I keep as little cash on me as I can at all times. easier to get your money back if someone steals your debit/credit cards than if they steal a wad of cash…

  4. I’m sorry “you said what O o” that you went through that! Sounds really lousy. I like Fairway but am a, yes, PSFC member. I do like having shopping near at hand in Fort Greene though. I do run to the local (generally) overpriced places…sometimes they’re prices are higher than at fancy places in Manhattan!

I wouldn’t mind having an organic market on Fulton or even DeKalb but I can’t quite see where one could fit in.

The ground floor of the Forte seemed like a good spot for a Gourmet Garage or Lifethyme type market but we have now heard BAM is taking it over. Which isn’t so bad but still, we need more food shopping choices in our area. Actually, a vegetable/fruit only place would be wonderful, like the ones in other parts of Brooklyn and in Queens!

  5. i dont need a food market.. i need a supermarket unlike that lame pathmark at atlantic terminal whose credit/debit systems went down last night at 9 p.m. so they were cash only. I had over one hundred dollars worth of groceries and had been in there more than hour and then had to leave with nothing. I just left the whole shopping cart in the dairy aisle. I’m driving all the way to fairway today.
