After getting in big trouble for ripping out the entire storefront and original signage last fall, the owners of the deli at 133 Lafayette Avenue in Fort Greene had to put together a new plan that would make the Landmarks Preservation Commission happy. Last week they presented it to the commission and got the thumbs-up to proceed. The plan is to install a new paneled wood storefront with an angled recessed entrance door and for the old signage to be re-installed. We’re working on getting our hands on the renderings.

  1. Would be great to do the entire facade i.e. repoint brick and power wash. This is practically the only eye sore on this part of Lafayette Ave in FG.
The old signage was really awesome…good thing they kept it during demolition!
