Closing Bell: Flea Plans Revealed

Gotta love it when you’re scooped on your own story by The Times. As readers of the Diner’s Journal blog are already aware, the upcoming Brooklyn Flea season will be a little different than last year. As usual, we’ll be moving back outdoors to our flagship location at Bishop Loughlin in Fort Greene on Saturdays starting April 10. On Sundays, however, rather than head back to Dumbo where construction along Water Street has created too many potential headaches for a regular market underneath the Brooklyn Bridge this year, we are going to stay put in the Williamsburgh Savings Bank space at One Hanson. While we are really sorry not to be in Dumbo, where we have received so much support from officials at Brooklyn Bridge Park and the Dumbo BID, we are also excited to continue our residency at the architecturally-stunning space where we’ve spent the winter. It’ll also be nice not to be so weather-dependent!
