  1. Slick,

I don’t begrudge Miss Muffet her stance or her life choices, but, given all the time that has passed while she waits for the market to come to her, what has she given up? And I don’t mean money. She’s got school age kids and clearly wants to be in a brownstone or similar home in her neighborhood of choosing. At what point is the pursuit of the perfect house at the perfect price in the perfect location no longer worth the wait? Even if you are right that “it ain’t over,” no one knows when it will be. Maybe prices inch down and reach muffet’s level in five years. Will it have been worth the wait? Only muffet knows, but there’s more to life than market-timing. We did not buy at peak or trough but we sure have enjoyed our house.
