Join Hilary Hawke, local children educator and banjo aficionado for a class where kids will learn songs from the old time and bluegrass tradition. They will learn the clapping, tapping, and singing, as well as the stories behind these classic songs. “Make a Film” Class Series

WFMU Fest
Starting this Thursday, there will be a three day festival at the Music Hall of Williamsburg. Thursday’s lineup includes: Faust, Cold Cave, and Aluk Todolo. You can purchase tickets in advance or at the door for $20. Thursday, October 1. 8 p.m. 66 North 6th Street, Music Hall of Williamsburg.

Young, Gifted and Black (Men)
See/hear Brooklyn fiction authors Clifford Thompson, Victor LaValle and James Hannham for this season’s first reading of Young, Gifted and Black (Men).
