It may not have water views, but it does have a waterfall. A 45-foot one, to be exact, according to a press release sent out by Scarano Architects touting the sales success at the condo project it designed at 90 North 5th Street in Williamsburg. The Scarano presser boasted that the building was almost 1/3 sold, a claim that we were able to verify with the brokerage firm in charge of marketing the 23-unit development. In fact, there are currently seven units in contract and allegedly another three accepted offers in the pipeline. This track record’s pretty impressive considering that average asking prices for the one- and two-bedroom units are north of $700 a foot. GMAP

  1. Streeteasy doesn’t show any unit in contract, and only 8 of the 23 are even listed for sale. Far from me to doubt the word of a sales person on their own product, but can we really label the press release “verified”?
