The North Flatbush Ave. BID points out that the Department of Transportation has installed safety improvements to the intersection of Park Place, Carlton Avenue, and Flatbush Avenue in Prospect Heights. The BID and Park Heights Neighborhood Development Council pushed for these changes, which include new pavement markings, flexible bollards, a no-standing zone, and the possibility of two new crosswalks, with the goal of slowing vehicles’ turning speeds and increasing visibility for pedestrians.
