The humongous new rock-climbing facility on 3rd Avenue and Degraw Street, Brooklyn Boulders, is slated to open on August 3rd. To recap: The gym, which is an old Daily News garage, has 30-foot ceilings and will have a bunch of different climbing options, including a top-rope climbing area and a replica of a Brooklyn Bridge tower to hoist onto. While the business will start welcoming climbers in a couple weeks, its grand opening shindig isn’t happening until September 9th. Click through the photos for a taste of what it’ll be like.
